Main Page
EDPEDIA is an initiative, multilingual, wiki-based collaborative encyclopedia dedicated to compiling and disseminating information about eating disorders, including their prevention, treatment, research, and recovery strategies. The platform operates on a global model, allowing contributors worldwide to share region-specific resources, emerging therapies, and lived experiences to foster cross-cultural awareness and reduce stigma.
Overview
EDPEDIA was launched in 2024 with the goal of addressing gaps in accessible, evidence-based information about eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, and ARFID. Unlike clinical databases, EDPEDIA emphasizes community-driven content, enabling individuals, clinicians, and advocates to collaboratively update and verify information. The platform adheres to strict content guidelines to ensure accuracy, sensitivity, and neutrality. This is a work in progress and please do your proper research before making any decisions
Mission
EDPEDIA's mission is threefold:
1. To provide a centralized, multilingual repository of eating disorder-related knowledge, including treatments, research, and support systems.
2. To bridge geographical disparities in resource availability.
3. To reduce stigma through education and shared narratives of recovery.
